Like a nourishing savory broth, Umami is described as the fifth taste: deeply profound flavor that resonates long after it has passed thru your taste receptors.

Similarly, our unique brand of aquatic experience invites you into the familiar comforts of water and tempts you to go to deeper into the sensations of the body: contrasting stillness and movement of the liquid within and the aquatic womb that surrounds you. As you emerge from its warm embrace you'll feel that tickle on your palette as you reconnect time and again with the transcendent energy these sessions evoke.

My journey into aquatic therapy began with vigorous pursuits in capoeira (an Afro Brazilian martial art), contact improv, circus arts and partner acrobatics. As I sought to expand my endurance, flexibility and overcome injury I looked more and more into restorative pursuits to find the balance my body craved.

Building from a decade long foundation in Therapeutic acroyoga which sprang from post training physical therapy, I dove deeper into studying Thai massage, Swedish Massage and WuoTai (ostheopathic dance) from several lineages in Europe, the Americas & Asia.

It was in the letting go of the extreme body tension these athletic pursuits required where I found my freedom in the water. Allowing me to synthesize my unique approach with the healing modality of warm water immersion. The combination of these unique factors provide ineffable relief reconnecting the inner child with the somatic awareness our bodies require to find healing.
